Do I have to change my phone number?
No. Your number stays exactly as it is, with the carrier you're already on. We add one setting that says "if nobody picks up after 30 seconds, send this call to Norwell." That's the whole change, and you can reverse it yourself in about a minute.
Will my customers know it's not a person?
Some will, most won't ask. It introduces itself, speaks naturally, and handles the call the way a good receptionist would. But the real comparison isn't Norwell versus you picking up — it's Norwell versus voicemail at 9pm on a Sunday. Almost nobody leaves a voicemail anymore.
What if it can't answer something?
